From Abhishek

Hi Guys, 
My name is Abhishek Kumar, and I am a first year PhD student from the department of Cellular and molecular biology at University of Nevada, Reno.  Originally from the bustling city of Mumbai, India, I embarked on my academic journey by pursuing both my bachelor's and master's degrees in biotechnology. To further acquire laboratory experience, I pursued post-graduate diploma in biopharmaceuticals production and quality control. 

I am also Graduate teaching assistant for BIOL-251, which is a microbiology focused course. I basically work as a laboratory instructor for this course, where I am tasked with both demonstrating and overseeing the experiments carried out by students.

As a person who deeply enjoys wet lab experiments, I spend most of my time at my second home, “my laboratory”. When not in the lab, you'll likely find me indulging in my favorite pastimes, such as catching up on sleep or enjoying a captivating movie.
